2025 Tata Altroz Facelift Unveiled in India: 5 Key Highlights Reviving the Premium Hatchback Segment

Tata Motors has launched the refreshed 2025 Altroz premium hatchback in India, starting at ₹6.89 lakh (ex-showroom). This updated model enters a fiercely competitive segment dominated by the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai i20.
Here are five key highlights of the 2025 Tata Altroz facelift:
1. Sharper Design with Subtle Updates
The Altroz maintains its core silhouette but receives several cosmetic tweaks for a modern look. Upgrades include all-LED headlamps with eyebrow-style DRLs, a revamped 3D grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers, and slimmer LED taillamps connected by a sleek strip. New flush-fitting door handles inspired by the Tata Curvv concept and two fresh paint options—Dune Glow and Ember Glow—also feature.
2. Enhanced Premium Interiors
Inside, the Altroz sports a redesigned dashboard dominated by a new freestanding 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster. Additional upgrades include a 360-degree camera, new seat upholstery, improved ambient lighting, and a single-pane sunroof, elevating the cabin’s premium feel.
3. Powertrain Remains Unchanged
The facelift retains the outgoing model’s engine lineup—a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine delivering 86 bhp and 115 Nm torque, paired with options of a 5-speed manual, 5-speed AMT, or 6-speed DCT gearbox. The Altroz continues to offer a CNG variant and remains the only premium hatchback in India with a diesel option, giving it a unique advantage.
4. Four Trim Options Available
Tata offers the new Altroz in four trims—Smart, Pure, Creative, and Accomplished—providing a broad spectrum of features and powertrain choices to suit diverse buyer preferences.
5. Bookings Open June 2
Priced between ₹6.89 lakh and ₹11.29 lakh (ex-showroom), bookings for the 2025 Altroz facelift will begin on June 2, with deliveries expected to start soon thereafter.
